High Protein Brownies

As we age it becomes harder to build and maintain muscle, and we need more protein to do the same job.

More protein doesn’t have to mean eating meat (though it can if you like it). I have never been a big fan of meat and so am always looking for other ways to increase the protein I’m consuming.

One of my favourite ways to do that is to substitute flour in recipes for a protein powder. I use Juice Plus Complete because that protein then comes with a whole suite of superfoods, so I’m getting even more goodness, and it doesn't have the "heaviness" that a lot of protein powders do.

These high protein brownies will likely be a hit with the whole family.
